I seek to create a space for those who feel disconnected from their emotions, their bodies, or their sense of self. I specialize in working with adults and teens who are seeking help for trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and life transitions. Prior to becoming a therapist, I’ve worked in academic medicine supporting healthcare providers, patients and families involved in medical errors.
I want to understand your values, goals and what you find meaningful in life. My practice is trauma-informed and I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and identities. I am committed to providing gender-affirming care and support to the LGBTQI+ community. My approach is structured, yet approachable and relaxed. As a former trauma informed yoga instructor, I see benefit in the therapeutic applications of mindfulness, movement and meditation.
I’ve received specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), which is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that has been effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD that have developed after experiencing a variety of traumatic events. I have also completed advanced training in Nature Based Therapy.
I take a person-centered approach to therapy that focuses on your strengths and is designed to promote empowerment. My work integrates mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support emotion regulation, self-expression and overall well-being.
